10 years running now.gears are wearing out...was hoping to get industry avg of 11 to.14 years operation. Problem with a repair on my unit is that gear replacement has to include a.housing.. Costing.$700.
Repair tech suggests paying a bit more up.front for a.speed.queen...better built

I purchased this washer 8 yrs ago. It runs and washes as expected. No repairs so far. Water saving setting are great. Do not do well with heavy items like Ruggable Rug or Donut shaped dog beds. Use rhe Laundromat. Si far so good.

Not enough agitation no matter what length of setting you enter to get your clothes clean. Additionally, he fabric softener dispenser doesn™™t work- when I pour softener into the dispenser, it leaks directly into the washer. Very disappointed with this washer by GE.Not the quality I expected!

We bought this machine because of the large capacity. The water-saving feature is so good it doesn't get the clothes or whatever you put in completely wet which means it doesn't clean the items well. It also doesn't rinse well which means running an extra rinse with every load. Though we haven't had mechanical issues with it I would never buy a top load evergy-water saver again.

This is my second washer within 8 years. 1st one lost control during spin cycle and caused damage to my house and totalled the washer. This one keeps having issues starting up.

Purchased in 2013, worst machine and the most expensive ever purchased. First year board went out, lucky I had warranty, live in area with no service to fix it. So they made a deal and paid us to fix it . Ha. Than the pump went out after 5 yrs. no warranty we fixed it ourselves. Now 7 yrs in the Board went and the washer doesn™™t wash clothes. Everything stinks no matter what I do.
Went and purchased the old fashioned agitator cheaper no bells machine hoping it last more than 7 yrs. Too much money to waste barely 7 yrs

I like the time left to complete the wash cycle display of the washer. I wish it had the option to fully fill the wash tub. Sometimes I need more water in the machine.

This is the worst machine in the face if the planet. Don™™t waste your money. Gives you about a gallon of water for a whole machine of clothes. Thinks it™™s a front loader... I had to install a garden hose in my laundry room just to get some water in the machine. HORRIBLE

This washer is the worst I've seen in 72 years. I often reach in to move the wash to the dryer and there are areas ALL over the wash that are still dry. Don't you need water to wash?? Without an agitator the wash easily went off balance and danced all over the floor. This was a problem from day one. Last GE for me.

Lid will not stay locked. We start a load of wash, it locks the lid and then it unlocks the lid 3 seconds later and stays in the pause mode.

i bought this 2 years ago during spin cycle clothes sometimes do not balance but machine turns its self off but I can see that it stopped in the middle of washing. this morning apparently this did not happen and I came home to find the machine turned and lid flew back during spin cycle( I only had a sheet and 2 pillow cases in )
during this violent spin the tub that holds the washing basket broke so water was every where I bough another washer today repairman said it would cost more to fix

This washer is very efficient. It is quite enough to not wake our 8 month old in the room across the hall. Did have to remove internal agitator to get coins that got stuck underneath it and made grinding noise. Just empty your pockets before washing.

Had this a week now in a home of five adults, so it's used more than once a day.
It is simple to use!
Has many options!
The cycle is fully electronic, meaning there is no electromechanical timer to go bad.
Holds a lot of wash in a stainless steel drum, without an agitator!
The display shows just how many minutes the wash will take and it down counts!
Almost vibration free!
Looks good!
What more could you ask for?

This washer started making horrible noises during the wash and spin cycles about 14 months after it was installed. After 3 trips by the repairman to replace multiple parts, we gave up and are using it until it finally breaks completely and we can justify buying a new one. We have to keep the laundry room door closed or we can't stand the noise. We can't watch TV while the washer is running it's so noisy.

I didn't get the extended warranty because it was supposed to be a good product. 13 months after purchase the plastics tub cover ripped and a few months after that the hose inside got a hole in it. Plus it is very loud when on the spin cycle.
