Awful washer!

I "inherited" this where upon purchase of 5-yr-old home. The original owner chose it as an "upgraded" appliance model. I've tried to wash a medium-weight king comforter which fills the drum about half-way. I've tried every "higher water" setting available, yet the top of the comforter never even gets wet during an entire wash cycle. I understand the EPA regulations, but this is absolutely absurd. BTW, same problem with ANY load that fills the drum just half-way. Time to try a front load washer -- perhaps that was EG's intention all along.

This was a brand new washer that was installed by the builder of our new town home. It was noisy and shook right from start and in less then 2 years is now like a zombie, walking and taking due to severe vibrations. It was almost as if it was waiting for the warranty to expire and that become undead. I paid 60$ for a repairman to come and he basically told me to trash it as repair would mean replacing the drum which was more then 300$ plus labor.

Water never fills to the height of the clothes

The washing machine is supposed to sense the amount of clothes to be washed. However, even with a small amount of clothes or two queen sized sheets and two pillowcases (which is really not out of the oridinary for a small load) the water never covers them. Sometimes my clothes even come out with areas on them that aren't really even wet.
I feel my stuff never really gets clean.

Disappointed in water level, sometimes have to wash items twice. Do not like fact that you need to put Tide PODS or Liquid in first as sometimes does not get washed out of items in washer.

I would rate this machine 0 stars if I could. The machine is extrememy noisy. In the four months I have had it, it has flooded my laundry room and surrounding area twice. After the first "flood" (machine a week old), it needed a part replaced. How does a new machine need a new part? Shouldn't all parts be new? DO NOT buy this washing machine; terrible product!
